Research at Mizzou

MU has the nation’s most powerful University research reactor and is the largest U.S. producer of radioisotopes for diagnosing and treating cancer.

The university has 17 research farms, research centers and forests covering more than 14,500 acres.

MU operates one of five U.S. centers funded by the National Institutes of Health to lead interdisciplinary research on botanicals, part of a $25 billion dietary supplement industry.

MU hosts the Missouri Census Data Center, which provides access to data to solve critical social science problems.
