Grad Writers' Academy
This professional development program engaged graduate students in activities designed to enhance their self confidence and skills related to scholarly writing.
The day-long program consisted of five learning modules. All learning materials and lunch were provided.
Students Learned How to...
- read journal articles & improve reading comprehension;
- expand and organize literature reviews with e-citation tools;
- gain techniques for academic-style writing (journal articles & thesis/dissertation); and
- overcome the impostor phenomenon (because it often impedes writing progress).
Plans for the next Grad Writers' Academy are pending. However, an online version is now available.
