The mission of The National GEM Consortium is to enhance the value of the nation’s human capital by increasing the participation of underrepresented groups (African Americans, American Indians, and Hispanic Americans) at the master’s and doctoral levels in engineering and science.
The University of Missouri is fortunate to be partnered with the National GEM Consortium. For the past few years, Mizzou has participated at GEM Grad Labs in the region. In the Fall of 2016, we hosted a GEM Grad Lab, with over 70 student attendees who heard about the importance of graduate education and the value of a PhD.
