                                      2016 Tigerview

The Office of Graduate Studies is dedicated to enhancing the intellectual stimulation that comes from a diverse campus community. In keeping with this aim, our office has established several diversity and inclusion initiatives under the umbrella name of Emerge.

One such effort is the Tigerview campus visitation program. Prospective graduate students with a serious interest in pursuing a graduate degree at Mizzou, should apply to participate in the next Tigerview, to be held October 8-11, 2017.

What Tigerview Can Do for You

  • Learn about the opportunities for research and academic growth available to students at MU, a leading research university
  • Network with current faculty, administrators, graduate students and contacts in your program of interest
  • Collect information about the admissions process and funding sources and opportunities
  • Participate in lab tours, scientific presentations, workshops regarding essential graduate school components and social activities

Who Are We Looking For?

  • U.S. citizens or permanent residents attending a U.S. college or university
  • Members of racial or ethnic groups that are under-represented in graduate education (Black/African-American, American Indian, Alaskan Native, Hispanic/Latino, or Native Pacific Islander) and/or students who participated in a Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program or Student Support Services Program are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Students who have a genuine interest in research and plans to enter a doctoral degree program the Fall of 2018 (i.e. Rising seniors, Master’s students or individuals not currently enrolled who have already earned a BS/BS or MS/MA)
  • Strong academic record
  • Interest in one of MU’s graduate programs

Program space is limited, so the Office of Graduate Studies particularly seeks to invite students who will contribute to Tigerview, and eventually the University community, through their informed perspective gained by participating in the program.
