Admission Criteria

Application Deadlines

  • Fall deadline for the Counseling Psychology, School Psychology, School Counselor and Sport Psychology programs: December 1
  • Fall deadline for the Educational Psychology and Statistics, Measurement, & Evaluation in Education programs: January 15
  • Deadline for online programs: Rolling

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
  • If an applicant is admitted but does not hold a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or does not have relevant background course work, the applicant must complete prerequisite courses as specified by the faculty of the department.
  • All online programs: Deadline dates do not apply; GRE scores are not required.

  • Official Results of English Proficiency Exams (International applicants only)

For the Educational, School and Counseling Psychology Program (Campus)

  • GRE scores
  • 3 letters of recommendation via the online application
  • Personal statement and vitae via online application per departmental requirements
  • TOEFL or IELTS scores (International only)

For the Educational, School and Counseling Psychology Program (Online)

  • 3 letters of recommendation via the online application: should attest to your professional competence, academic preparation and potential for graduate work. (Note: One letter of recommendation is required for the Positive Coaching program applicants)
  • Personal statement and vitae via online application per departmental requirements
