The survey is conducted on a nationwide scale through six federal agencies, including the National Science Foundation and National Institutes for Health.
The Survey of Earned Doctorates is now submitted online. Your personal data remain confidential. Resulting national reports contain aggregated data.
Survey information is reported only in aggregate or in a way that does not reveal any individual information. Federal agencies and the SED contractor take every precaution to protect respondent confidentiality.

This fee is used to pay for the service that archives all theses and dissertations submitted to the University of Missouri. For an additional fee, the vendor will file paperwork on a student’s behalf to register the copyright on a thesis or dissertation.

There are different levels of release available:
*Note: If a one-year delay is selected, then the entire work must be released in one of the first three release methods following the one-year delay.
The release form must be signed by you and your advisor and uploaded to Canvas.

If you choose to pay the optional fee, this company will also file copyright paperwork on your behalf.
Select either the “Traditional Publishing” option or the “Open Access Publishing” option, then review and select from the additional publishing options. All works submitted to the Office of Graduate Studies will automatically be made available on the Internet (in compliance with the terms specified in your release form) at MOspace.
If you select the “No Search Engine Access” restriction, please make sure your MU Electronic Thesis and Dissertation Release form restricts the work to University of Missouri System or University of Missouri campus only.
