Supplemental Graduate Fellowship and Recruitment Funding

The Office of Graduate Studies is announcing the call for proposals for the Supplemental Graduate Fellowship and Recruitment Funding (SGFRF) Program to help departments/graduate degree programs recruit outstanding graduate students who would be new to MU starting Fall 2016. As the name suggests, we are broadening the program to allow for proposals that aim to develop and implement an innovative recruitment program, in addition to considering proposals for supplemental fellowship funds which also contribute to recruitment efforts. Programs may design the recruitment strategy that best meets their needs and goals, whether that be increased student support through a one year fellowship, visitation/recruiting events, early enrollment support, professional development funding or other innovative methods to improve graduate program recruiting efforts. Regardless of your intent, your proposal will be evaluated under the same overarching goal: to recruit new students with exceptional merit and promise. Funding will be awarded to departments that have demonstrated best practices in graduate education by recruiting, training, and professionally placing outstanding students.
