  • Community of Science is a database of funding opportunities sponsored by the government, private foundations, nonprofit organizations and professional societies. MU subscribes to this service; current Mizzou faculty and students have free access. To use the database, you must first create an account.
  • Student Aid on the Web provides a list of government funding opportunities for graduate students.
  • The MU Fellowships Office provides a list of nationally prestigious fellowships & scholarships.

Proposal and essay resources in Blackboard

The MU Graduate School maintains an extensive Blackboard site with resources for writing fellowship and scholarship essays and dissertation-thesis grant proposals. Basic budgeting, program planning and evaluation information is included. Log in and browse "Grad Writer's Resources for Grants, Fellowships & Scholarships."

National Science Foundation's Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP)

The GRFP is for students in the life sciences, social sciences, technology, mathematics, engineering or STEM education. This prestigious award comes with a generous stipend.
