Welcome New Graduate Students

Orientation introduces new students to critical aspects of graduate student life. University administrators, the Graduate Studies staff, and advanced graduate students share advice on academic success. Please join us!

Description: Welcome by Associate Vice Chancellor Leona Rubin. Advanced graduate students will tell you what to expect at Mizzou and how to get involved in grad groups. Other topics will include tuition waivers & student insurance; Title IX Rights and Reporting; Chancellor's Diversity Initiative; disability resources; and key information for international students. 

Networking. Join us for this fun speed-networking event immediately following the orientation session where you can meet other new graduate students and talk with representatives from different grad student groups. For one lucky person, an Ipad will be given away as a door prize!

Description: Student leaders and representatives from numerous disciplines will be on-hand to discuss programs, opportunities, and graduate student life at MU. Pick up a networking card, complete the activity, and turn in your name for the Ipad drawing. The Office of Graduate Studies staff will be on hand to answer your questions, too. We hope to see you there!
